Christine Ohlman & Rebel Montez + special guest Lovelace/Stoltz

Saturday July 11, 2015 @ 8:00 PM

Christine Ohlman (a/k/a "The Beehive Queen") is fresh from a year that included appearances at The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage, The WC Handy Festival in Muscle Shoals, and on concert stages with Brian Wilson, Bill Medley, Bonnie Bramlett, Elvis Costello and a host of others. Ohlman appears with Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame 2014 Inductee Andrew Loog Oldham as special guest on his "ALO Orchestra Sings The Rolling Stones Songbook Vol. 2," and landed the Top Female Americana Vocalist honors on The Alternate Root's International Readers' Poll (she shares top slots with Paul Thorn, The Mavericks, and Rodney Crowell). The current, long-running vocalist with NBC's "Saturday Night Live" Band, Ohlman has been named a "Living Legend" by both the New Haven and Hartford Advocates. She will bring to the musical table songs from her six CDs, including the latest, "The Deep End," honored on five year-end national Top Ten lists and featuring guest turns by Ian Hunter, Marshall Crenshaw, Dion, Big Al Anderson, the late Levon Helm and others.

Join The Queen as she brings Christine Ohlman & Rebel Montez (Cliff Goodwin-guitars; Michael Colbath-bass; Larry Donahue-drums) to Bridge Street Live, and as she proudly welcomes Dave Stoltz & Lee-Ann Lovelace's soulful Americana duo Lovelace/Stoltz in the opening slot.

LOVELACE/STOLTZ

Opening the evening will be Lovelace/Stolz, David Stoltz and Lee-Ann Lovelace's brand-new blues/Americana duo project. Dave Stoltz's work with Dickie Betts (4-year veteran of Betts' band) and Jaimoe (current, long-running member of Jaimoe's Jasszz Band) has cemented his name firmly into the pages of Allman Brothers history, and his resume, reading like a Hartford Who's Who (Portrait Blues, the Main Street Band, Street Temperature) also includes Ellen McIlwaine, members of the Byrds, Eddie Henderson and Houston Person. Stoltz's CDs "Dangerous Canoes" and the recent "More Dangerous Canoes" will be available at the show.

Lee-Ann Lovelace is a powerful newer force in our midst since 2004. This great singer/songwriter's resume includes membership in multiple winners of the Hartford Advocate Grand Band Slam. Her current original project, the Royal Din, performs throughout New England; their debut EP will be available at the show. Lee-Ann's soulful and passionate style is always refreshing and real.
