Hank Williams Tribute feat. Girls Guns and Glory w/ special guest Sarah Borges

Saturday December 28, 2013 @ 8:00 PM

Hank Williams was born September 17, 1923, in Mount Olive, Alabama. Considered one of the most popular American country music singer/songwriters with songs like "Cold, Cold Heart," "Your Cheatin' Heart," "Hey, Good Lookin'" and "I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive." Hank Williams recorded 35 singles (five released posthumously) that would place in the Top 10 of the Billboard Country & Western Best Sellers chart, including 11 that ranked number one.

Girls Guns and Glory is a cosmic trinity of sorts, a mission statement, maybe even a wish list. However you look at it, Girls Guns and Glory (GGG) is a band with big things happening. Their infectious blend of americana, retro-rock, and alt-country really heats up the stage.

To watch Sarah Borges strut and howl onstage is to participate in rock ‘n’ roll communion, all glistening sweat and high kicks, soul-shaking and sassy antics. She's a modern-day retro spitfire, red lipstick curled in a smirk as she summons her six-string to conjure a host of fiery spirits, leaving a stunned and ecstatic audience in her wake.
