You're invited to "A HOT NIGHT OF COMEDY" presented by 41 Bridge Street and the Canton Chamber of Commerce! On Friday, July 14th, 2017, the night before COLLINSVILLE HOT, David Feldman, Jay Sutay, & Bob Cattel will be bringing the laughs to Bridge Street for a Comedy Fundraiser to benefit the Canton Chamber of Commerce and their scholarship fund! Show starts at 8 pm, doors to the Show Room open at 7 pm, and food will be served in the Green Door Speakeasy from 5 pm on.

The Canton Chamber of Commerce annually awards scholarships to graduating students at the Canton High School each year in June. Proceeds from the Annual Golf Tournament, fundraising events, and donations benefit the scholarship fund. The Chamber Outreach Committee advertises for and receives applications from Canton High School seniors who are pursuing a college degree in the business field or entrepreneurship.

The evening's headliner, David Feldman, is a comedy writer, standup comedian, and podcaster/radio host. Formed in 2009, Feldman's listener supported podcast, the "David Feldman Show" (formerly, the "David Feldman Comedy Podcast"), includes a diverse mixture of live and prerecorded content which can be downloaded from the iTunes Store for free. In November 2013, he released a special digital download only compilation album called "The Very Best of the David Feldman Show, Vol. 1." Feldman has written for ABC's "Roseanne," HBO's "Dennis Miller Live," HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher," Comedy Central's "The Daily Show with John Stewart," Comedy Central's "The Burn," Joy Behar's "Say Anything," and Fox's "Talk Show with Spike Feresten"; Feldman has also written for The Academy Awards, The Emmys, Triumph, The Insult Dog Comic, and countless roasts on Comedy Central. Over the past few years, Feldman has written comedy with and for Steve Martin, Martin Short, Robin Williams, Nathan Lane, Robert Smigel and Bette Midler. He has won three Prime Time Emmy awards for comedy writing, three Writers Guild Awards, and a CableACE award. As a comedian, Feldman has appeared frequently on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "The Tonight Show," and "The Late Late Show," as well as his own special for Comedy Central.

Opening the show is Dr. Jay Sutay, the self-proclaimed “Hardest Working Pediatrician in Comedy”! A frustrated pediatrician from South Windsor, CT, Dr. Jay has performed at clubs throughout the northeast, and was a finalist in the Pro Division of both the 2012 "Funniest Comic in New England" Contest, and the 2014 "Funniest Comic on the East Coast" Contest held at Mohegan Sun Casino. He was named one of Hartford’s Best Local Comics in the Hartford Courant’s "CT Now 2015 Reader’s Poll." Dr. Jay was a regular contributor to "The Miserable Men Show" on Sirius/XM Radio, and he can be heard monthly on “The Dad Podcast.” Dr. Jay's comedy involves tales from the exam room, his experience working with kids and their parents, as well as his own tribulations as the father of two daughters. His cutting and sometimes incisive commentary about society, parenting and raising kids, always leaves audiences laughing.

Comedian Bob Cattel will also be performing an opening set.
