Fountainhead w/ the Random Concept

Saturday October 21, 2017 @ 8:00 PM

Legendary Connecticut band FOUNTAINHEAD make their Bridge Street debut on Saturday, October 21st at 8 pm! Opening the show is the legendary Gary Higgins and the Random Concept!

Unknown to many people, almost mythical for some due to the band's 1981 “Live” album, Fountainhead is a band born and bred in Connecticut. Founded in 1974, Fountainhead went on to share the stage with greats like The Allman Brothers, Lynard Skynard, Marshall Tucker, The Outlaws, and Jefferson Starship just to name a few! Fountainhead's two locally released albums in the early eighties (recorded at RCA and Toad's Place in New Haven) set records for local sales and charted at regional radio stations WPLR, WHCN, WCCC, and 95 FM Bridgeport. The band drew their inspiration from the music of Jerry Jeff Walker, Willie Nelson, The Grateful Dead, Lynard Skynard and The Rolling Stones.

Falls Village, Connecticut’s own psych–folk enigma Gary Higgins will open the show with Random Concept, a group he founded with his schoolmates in 1965. In addition to Random Concept originals and covers, Gary will also perform songs from his album "Red Hash," which has become a favorite of record collectors and critics alike since its original release in 1973. Entertainment Weekly named "Red Hash" the sixth highest–rated album of 1973, alongside Led Zeppelin’s Houses of the Holy and the Grateful Dead’s Wake of the Flood.

Tickets to see these two legendary CT bands are only $15 for General Admission and $25 for VIP Reserved!
