41 Bridge Street presents our first ever SWING DANCE SOCIAL on Saturday, March 24th at 7 pm!

Do you like grooving along to our shows but wish you could dance with the effortless ease of those couples who seem to be in synch with every song? Do you harbor a secret desire to be on Dancing with the Stars? Does the mere idea of dancing at a wedding fill you with fear and delight?

If you answered "Yes!" to any of these questions, then you should really consider attending Bridge Street's inaugural Swing Dance Social! If you answered "Yes...but I have two left feet and no rhythm," to you we say, "We welcome the opportunity to prove your inner skeptic wrong!" (To those still paralyzed with fear by the mere mention of partner dancing, please know there will be a complimentary glass of wine served before the class begins--it goes a long way in limiting inhibitions!)

The Swing Dance Social begins at 7 pm with a fifteen-minute introduction period, during which the aforementioned glass of complimentary wine and light appetizers will be served (the Green Door Restaurant will be open from 5 pm if you would like to get a full dinner/multiple glasses of wine before the Social begins). From 7:15 to 8 pm, you'll learn the basics of East Coast Swing from experienced ballroom professionals skilled at making even the most awkward turtles move with the grace of a swan. Then at 8 pm, we'll turn on the music so you can try out your new moves! You'll soon find out you can dance the swing to most of the music heard here at Bridge Street, so the next you're attending a show you can show off your new swing dance skills!

Tickets to Bridge Street's Swing Dance Social are a STEAL at this special introductory rate: $25 for Singles and $45 for Couples. The ticket includes a complimentary glass of wine, light apps, a 45-minute dance lesson taught by ballroom dance professionals, and an hour of social dancing.
