The Shirelles you may remember...legendary lady Shirley Alston Reeves you will never forget!! American soul singer Shirley Alston Reeves (born Shirley Owens) was the lead singer and co-founder of the hit singing group, The Shirelles. Discovered while attending Passaic High School in New Jersey, the Shirelles first single, "I Met Him On A Sunday," was an instant success. The Shirelles went on to contribute to the famous "girl group" era and enjoyed a string of hits throughout the 1960s, including: "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow," "Mama Said," "Tonight's the Night," "Baby It's You,""This Is Dedicated to the One I Love" and "Solider Boy." Ms. Reeves co-starred in the Rock and Roll film "Let the Good Times Roll" and starred in one of the first Rock ad Roll Coke-a-Cola commercials. In 1996, Ms. Reeves was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Don't miss this truly legendary performer take the Bridge Street stage for ONE SHOW ONLY!

Opening the show for Ms. Reeves are The Crown Imperials, an a cappella doo-wop group that has been performing together since the 1950s as students at New Britain High School. They reunited after 45 years in 2009, and have been performing steadily since, including opening for Ronnie Spector (The Ronettes) and Charlie Thomas (The Drifters).
